| 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS Sport Coupe 2-dr Hardtop. Powered by a 327 2-bbl V8 backed with a 2-speed power glide. According to the tag this is a true SS model, and its recently undergone quite the restoration! The previous owner was a body man by trade and completely stripped the car, repairing anything as needed, and then repainted the car in a beautiful metallic Danube blue color. The paint and body work are excellent, and the painting continued under the hood, with all repainted fenders and engine bay. The 327 was also given a refresh and shines bright orange once again! Chrome and stainless are all complete and very nice. Currently the car is still sitting on its 15 original rally wheels with trim rings and white wall tires, but thats easy to change if you want to give it some attitude. From every angle this is a good-looking car, with Super Sport fender badging and SS on the grille and below the iconic triple round taillights. The car sits a little high in the front for our liking, but that was often the look and done on purpose back in the day. The interior has buckets, a console with shifter and optional clock, basic gauges with the addition of the optional manifold vacuum gauges, and most impressively, this is a factory A/C equipped car! The belt is off the compressor at the moment, but all the A/C components are in place. The car has power steering, but manual drum brakes, and is very nice, but otherwise stock under the hood, along with the rest of the drivetrain. The interior is very well done and virtually all new, apart from the dashboard. All new seat upholstery, carpets, door panels, headliner and other trim. A new speedometer would complete the interior back to perfect. No speed demon by any means, but a very sought after body style with great bones, excellent paint work, nice new interior and A/C! Would make a great summertime cruiser. The car shows 5 miles, but it would appear the odometer was reset during restoration, so true milage is unknown.
