Volvos Subscription Program Now Lets You Swap Cars Every Four Months

Some luxury automakers have started offering subscription services in very limited areas in recent years, but Volvos program stands out for being available in most states around the country. Now, the Care By Volvo program is getting an update so that customers can swap vehicles like they swap jackets. Now, Volvo will let you upgrade or return a subscription vehicle anytime after four months. The program is an alternative to a traditional lease, which locks you in for a longer, set period of time such as 36 months, and originally had a 24-month subscription period. Volvo handles factory scheduled maintenance and insurance costs, which are both included in the monthly payment. Drivers can travel up to 1,250 miles per month, according to the Care By Volvo website. Earlier this year, Volvo expanded the program to include vehicles in retail stock. This meant that customers can subscribe to a car they see on the dealership lot and take it away the same day. Buyers can subscribe to the 2021 Volvo S60 or XC40 for as little as $650 a month. The 2021 Volvo XC60 is available for $700 a month, while the larger XC90 goes from $750 a month. --> Volvo isn't only messing with its subscription business. It also outlined another service earlier this year to help owners with their vehicle maintenance needs during this current stay-at-home period: Volvo Valet , which allows owners to schedule service appointments over the phone, after which point a Volvo employee comes to their home and picks up their car. At the same time, a loaner vehicle is dropped off. Volvo is expected to expand the service to include vehicle purchases and test drives.
