INTRODUCTION: One of the nicest AMXs I've seen! Everyone has been talking about how great this car is. They started with a great car: It was claimed to be a 1 owner from 1976 until recently and garage kept with only 50,000 original miles. Then it was treated to a meticulous restoration. It's also loaded up with options.
EXTERIOR: The design is aggressive with its long hood, short sunken trunk and multiple shapes and contours. The body is pristine on this one, it's absolutely straight and fits right. The doors shut like a new car. Repainted its original Bittersweet color, except I bet it didn't look this good when it was new! It is polished like glass and has racing stripes over the top. The chrome and trim looks great including the grille. The Magnum 500 wheels really shine and are wrapped in reproduction redline tires.
INTERIOR: I sat in this car and immediately thought, Wow! It is pretty immaculate inside. It has a premium Legendary Interior, it even came with a certificate saying it is concours quality. The door panels, armrests, cushions and upholstery were replaced. The dash area is mint including the gauges, knobs, bezels, heater control panel etc. It features a tachometer, and original Am-Fm stereo. The steering wheel is mint and on a tilt column. Fresh carpet front to back and embroidered mats. The center console is home to the Shift Command shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is restored and detailed like new in here too! There are great features in here aside from the 390-315hp motor. It also has power steering, power brakes and factory air conditioning! The manifolds, carb, valve covers and air cleaner is stock. It's complete with the washer fluid bag, battery hold down, heat riser tube, hood insulation, reproduction hoses and clamps. The metal surfaces are painted slick, it's show quality.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick. Inside is clean metal with gray spatter finish. The weatherstrip and trunk mat were replaced. It has optional trunk light. Complete with restored collapsible spare with air bottle and jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The suspension and steering was completely rebuilt and detailed. It has a great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The brakes were redone, e-brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is spotless! The Shift Command automatic sends the power through the rebuilt driveshaft to the rear end. The floors look rock solid and are undercoated. It's fresh and proper under this car.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.
CONCLUSION: If you are meticulous, this car is for you. Not just compared to AMXs, but compared to any collector car this one is exceptional. Loaded with options, this 2 seat sports car is going to be a pleasure to drive!
