The Austin-Healey 100-6 was a series of roadsters introduced for the 1957 model year. The 100-6 was the second model released by Austin-Healey and featured the '6' in its name due to its 2.7-liter inline six engine. In terms of design, the 100-6 was clearly following the standard set by its predecessor, but with sleeker lines and a smaller front grill. Two body styles were offered for the 100-6, the BN4 2+2 (1957-1959), and BN6 Two Seat (1959). The larger engine of the 100-6 made it a popular choice to be used as a race car.
Built in England, Austin-Healey has a long history in the world of racing. The title on this car actually shows 7X,XXX actual miles, but with the current 5-digit odometer reading of 16,889 we cannot confirm the true mileage. The seller states it is 116,889 actual miles though, which could be true.
This example is finished in the ever-desirable Florida Green with a black convertible top that has been well-cared for. Wire wheels are wrapped in Vredestein tires that have healthy tread life. The chrome around the bumpers presents well and breaks up the unicolor body. Open the hood and the believed to be the original 2.9-Liter Inline-6, which has been professionally rebuilt. Pair that engine with the 4-speed manual with overdrive and a chassis that weighs 2,500 lbs. and this driver friendly sports car is ready to make you grin!
