True survivor with 44,820 actual miles! Rare GT Sport with a spunky 340 four barrel and an impossible to find Bright Green color! #s matching, original paint, and interior. Documented with the original fender tag, build sheet and window sticker too. Remarkable condition for a 55 year old survivor muscle car!
EXTERIOR: Believed to be the original paint! I just inspected it closely and other than a few minor blends I agree it is original paint. Overall, it shows great, with a gloss finish. Some of the edges are buffed thin. It has original glass including windshield which is a good indicator of low miles. Arguably the rarest of all Chrysler high impact colors Code F6 Bright Green was only available for a limited production run in the spring of 1969. The seasonal availability of the color not only makes it incredibly rare but also earned it the nickname ""Spring Green"". Even at the most prestigious of events, you'll be lucky to find a real deal ""Spring Green"" car. A new vinyl bumble bee stripe was just added. The original vinyl top presents well. The chrome and trim is exceptionally nice. The fender mounted turn signals are a very cool original option too. It's sitting on body color painted rims with poverty hubcaps and new BFG radial red line tires.
INTERIOR: This interior is said to be all original and in outstanding condition! The front bucket seats and rear bench seat are still very comfortable and look great but have a couple minor imperfections. The center console and remote mirror are very nice factory options. It has a $1,000 vintage Sun Super tachometer on the column. It also has a vintage 8-track player that the previous spent a bundle rebuilding. There are currently 44,818 original miles on the odometer. The carpet, headliner, sun visors, and door panels are all in great shape too. The dome light even works.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The original VIN number matching 340 cubic inch four barrel engine is still in place! The engine bay is detailed to factory specs. It has been freshened up with the correct paint and still has many of the original parts. It looks like the carburetor was rebuilt. It was equipped with power steering from the factory. The battery is properly secured and even the squirters are hooked up. The original fender tag is in place.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the lid still has its original sticker. Under the mat is clean original metal that was painted black. It has a full-size body color painted rim with what appears to be the original spare tire still mounted.
UNDERSIDE: This is a very clean original undercarriage that has been maintained as needed and professionally detailed! It has completely rust-free metal that has been prepped and freshened up with black paint. It has optional disc brakes in front, e-brake is hooked up. It has a Pypes exhaust system with stainless mufflers and correct chrome tips. Looking up at the motor it is fresh, starter looks new. The VIN matching number is by the oil pan, the casting codes on the block are correct too. It has its original #s matching 727 Torqueflite trans. A rebuilt driveshaft leads back to an 8 3/4"" Sure Grip rear end with 3.23 gearing were both factory options.
SERVICE: Our lead mechanic inspected this car and we installed a neutral safety harness, secured a trim piece, replaced the speedo gear, installed a passenger door lock knob, lubed the leaf spring bushings, and replaced the window rollers.
CONCLUSION: If you like to collect rare and original survivors this car is for you! A Dart GTS with only 45,000 original miles and it's fully documented. Actual miles are indicated on the title. You can restore a car as many times as you want, you cannot make it original again. Opportunities like this hardly ever become available, don't let this one slip through your hands!
