Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 25th year in the classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's Impala has earned its revered place in American car culture with 10 generations of full-size cruisers built over 7 decades. Many different years and models have their devotees, but the 1961-1965 409 powered cars are at the zenith of desirability. Well, folks, this beautiful 1962 Chevy Impala SS has the wildest 409-based engine that I've ever driven, or even seen. Lurking beneath the hood is a 480 ci (!) V8 stuffed with excellence and making 531 hp and 620 lb.-ft. of torque! Goodies include a decked, align bored, and bored (4.372) factory X 409 block with 4-bolt mains, fully balanced Eagle rotating assembly with Ross pistons and 4 stroke, Edelbrock aluminum heads, a COMP Cams H-107 Thumper hydraulic camshaft, a Holley Sniper fuel injection system, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold, long tube headers with manual cutouts, gorgeous sand cast aluminum valve covers, MSD billet distributor and coil, an Edelbrock aluminum water pump, and an aluminum radiator with twin SPAL fans and shroud. Holy hole shot, Batman! Additional features include power steering, a Richmond 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive, correct black vinyl bucket seat interior (812), a newer stereo, and classic Cragar S/S wheels wearing 215/70R14 tires. The owner of this car had a health issue before completion, so it has been consigned as is, including some rust underneath and a hole where the antenna went. This strong foundation will allow the new owner to personalize this beast as it is taken to that next level. A quick drive in this beast will alter your perspective of physics, because NOTHING that weighs this much should be able to accelerate this hard with 215mm tires! Thrilling. If you're like me and way too much is just right, call the team that can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
