2015 BMW M4 Coupe

For consignment, a 2015 BMW M4 coupe with a title verified 69,885 actual miles, a one owner car who states that much of the mileage was of the highway variety which as we all know, is less strenuous on a drivetrain. Meanwhile, Car and Driver was able to achieve a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds in their 2014 test, tripping the quarter mile clock at an astounding 12 seconds flat, (theirs was an automatic).
Exterior
Beast mode activated! Outfitted in monochromatic Black Sapphire Metallic, the front fascia is a series of ducts and intakes and grilles, while the silver glow of the angry headlights provides the only diversion from the darkness. And if you didn't notice the gaping, gulping grin, surely you noted that subtle power bulge on the hood letting you know this is not your mom's 428i. From the side, you'll note the 19-inch wheels and 35 series tires fronting some enormous discs and blue calipers. Then of course, there's the fender vent demarcated with a tiny M4 emblem. But let's say you missed all that as the car passed you. Ah, there it is. The quad exhaust mounted mid-valance and the tell tale tri-colored M emblem in front of a four. Now you know. And there's no catching up. But it's the shape, the balance, and the muscle that helps create the ultimate driving machine. Imperfections include rock chips on the front and sides which would be consistent with highway driving, a couple of chin scrapes, and a few random scratches.
Interior
Save the all black interiors for the commuter class. A sports car of this caliber warrants and welcomes guts with a bit of orange, Sakhir Orange to be specific, and that starts immediately on the door panels where the armrest and insert wear the hue stitched to perfection. Over to the bucket seats we go where it's clear these are designed for sport and by sport, we mean fun. Deep and supportive, the side bolstering is some of the best in the business and the tall head restraint sits on wide shoulders, all in orange leather. The rear 2+2 are less defined but just as attractive. Up front, a meaty steering wheel is replete with nearby every embedded control, allowing the pilot to keep his or her hands on the thick wheel. Simple gauges fill an instrument panel that is tunneled and shaded from sun glare, while carbon fiber accents the entire dashboard under an orange stitched leather pad. A screen crowns the center stack which houses the AM/FM/CD radio with navigation and MP3, and the climate panel in sleek black buttons accented by aluminum trim. Our shifter is in the center console and black carpet is protected by WeatherTech mats. What can't be seen is the K40 radar detector that was custom installed.
Drivetrain
Under the bulging hood is the 3.0 liter DOHC twin turbo inline 6 cranking out 425 horsepower and set into motion via a 6-speed manual transmission sending the power the rear wheels and 3.46 gears. As noted, power disc brakes are found front and rear. We find the engine back clean and also wearing some carbon fiber additions.
Undercarriage
Conditions are clean and dry underneath and a good portion of it is occupied by belly pans which smooth out passing air to assure it won't be baffled on your way to 60 mph and beyond. The dual exhaust is highlighted by an added Akrapovic system, infamous for their use of titanium and finished with carbon fiber tips. Macpherson struts make up the front suspension while multi-link shapes the rear independent system.
Drive-Ability
A little bit of luxury and a lot of sport greets you as you melt into the race formed seat and when the 3.0 liter comes to life, the exhaust announces its energy force. This holds true under acceleration, which of course is incredible, and doesn't stop through turns or as this car tracks straight and true. If you enjoy sweet exhaust tones, just being a passenger in this car will be almost as fun as the left chair. Meanwhile, all functions onboard work as intended. This is a special car that's been well cared for and presents very well for a driver that is now ten years old. Something tells us this design will look good ten years from now, despite BMW's insistence on kidney grille growth, and you can't go wrong with sinister black on an M4.
