1985 Chevrolet Scottsdale C10 Pickup
The C/K series of trucks have done nothing but continue to rise in popularity. They have a great overall look and a lot of them are abandoning their former work life to be some of the coolest show trucks out there. The third generation was released in 1973. Their popularity even back then is very apparent as this generation stuck around all the way until 1991. GM had designated them as the "Rounded Line" but due to the straight boxy appearance the public would eventually dub them the "square body". This 1985 is the Scottsdale C10 which is the higher trim level being known to be more luxurious than the base level Cheyenne model. This Texas truck is in excellent condition and has been slowly restored over time since 2016. It started with the paint and body at which point the bed was removed. It is painted in a GM Fire Red that has a beautiful finish. The body is super slick and very solid. That work was done professionally by Radical Restorations in Fate, TX. It has recently been ceramic coated which not only makes it look great but also really helps protect the finish. The glass is all tinted and the windshield and rear glass has been replaced. It has a custom front grill and a nicely chromed front bumper. In back the rear bumper was removed and it has a custom roll pan. Other than that the exterior has been shaved clean of the other exterior trim. The bed has been lined so despite being a high quality show truck you could still use the bed if needed and it will be protected. The 20 inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels were added in 2023 and it received new Kumho tires at that time.
Along with the paint/body work in 2016 it also received a 383 stroker motor (approximately 400hp) that was put together by ProTex Automotive in Austin, TX. It runs great and is fitted with Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Scat rotating assembly, Weiand intake, Quick Fuel 4 barrel carb, and serpentine belt system. Cooling is never an issue thanks to the Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, a custom shroud, and a hardline upper hose. They will definitely hear you coming with the stainless steel Doug's headers, into full stainless exhaust and Doug's mufflers. In 2024 a Phoenix 700R4 automatic transmission was installed and it has been driven approximately 200 miles since and is still under warranty. That is then combined with a 10 bolt 3:73 posi rear end with Currie axles. The truck runs and drives great. It also has a nice ride with tubular a-arms, QA1 coil springs, ladder bar, and QA1 adjustable shocks all of which were added in 2023. In that same year it received a 4 wheel CCP power disc brake set up.
The inside of the truck it was given the same treatment and was entirely redone. It now has a TMI dark brown saddle leather interior that is in excellent condition. The bench seat looks great and has full 3 point retractable seat belts. The dash is in great shape, has a dash pad and has a mostly stock layout. That being said it has been upgraded with a Retro Sound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, Vintage Air AC/Heat controls and custom gauges. Another cool upgrade is a custom cupholder was installed where the ashtray would have been originally. Power locks, power windows, this truck has it all.
This is a beautiful pickup truck that needs nothing and is ready to go. With 2,900 miles it is a fresh build and it comes with documentation of various things it has had done to it over time.
This beautiful restomod truck could be in your collection for $47,500.00!
