1942 Ford 1/2 Ton 2NC Flat Bed Truck For Sale SUPER RARE TRUCK 1942 Ford 2N Stake-Body Truck is one of just four that were custom fitted by Ford, with an L-head engine sourced from Ford's line of farm tractors and may be the last such vehicle in existence. Described as a restored vehicle, the Ford truck is restored to near perfection and rides and drives like new. Scored 992 points out of a possible 1,000 when being judged at the Dearborn Concours in Michigan With a capacity of 1/2 ton, the 2N now boasts a stake body and cargo bed floor hewn from wood that looks to be in excellent condition. The paint and interior show no obvious blemishes or in the interior, missing trim. The 2.0-liter L-head inline-four, factory rated at 40 horsepower, is described as original. The wood used in the stake body and cargo bed appears to be in excellent condition. Most trim is painted in keeping with 1942 production practice. The interior appears to have full trim and all small controls. The vinyl seating surfaces show no visible damage. Both the engine bay and interior present as very clean. The seller states that this is one of four such vehicles produced. According to the seller, this may be the only surviving example of this truck and powertrain. The Ford is fitted with dual outside mirrors. The headliner looks to be in excellent, undamaged condition. Dual tail lamps are installed. Both running boards appear to be straight. The cab floor is covered by a rubber mat. No cosmetic or functional issues with the truck.
