Unbeknownst to them they had started a revolution in what would be one of the most iconic vehicles in shape and name. Originally offered in two body styles and three choices of transmission, either a soft top convertible with the option of a power assist or the hardtop. Power was sent to the rear wheels via a three or four speed manual or a three-speed automatic. This particular example is a factory “A” code 2 2 Fastback model which came equipped from the factory with a 289 four-barrel V8 producing 225 horsepower backed by an automatic transmission.
