This gorgeous Chevelle is dialed in cosmetically and mechanically! It comes from a real good seller, he's a lifelong body man that collects cars and knows what to look for. EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is better than it was in 1968. It is laser beam straight, I don't see any rust, damage, or problem areas. All the panels line up square and flush, the hood and the doors open and close smoothly. Repainted its original Matador red according to the tag and it is polished smooth and glossy. No vinyl top. It does have the white SS stripes, SS hood and emblems. New triple plated chrome bumpers, new marker lights, grills on the hood, bowtie mirrors and handles. All the stainless moldings are clean and straight. The windshield and rear window were replaced. All the rubber gaskets and window seals are in excellent shape. It is sitting on 15 inch rally wheels with new polished trim. BFG tires, extra wide in back. Halogen headlights.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in this beautiful all red interior, it looks and even smells good in here. All the seat upholstery, door panels, armrests, headliner, visors, and dash pad look new. The instrument panel, heater controls, knobs look great. New cushion grip steering wheel. It has an aftermarket mini tachometer and a gauge cluster. It also has a retro stereo and 6x9 speakers in back. The factory console is upgraded with a 5-speed indicator.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely rebuilt 402 big block. It has a Comp cam, Pro Comp aluminum heads, Performer intake, dual feed Holley carb with premium fuel lines and fittings and an HEI ignition. It runs cool with an aluminum water pump, radiator, overflow bottle and it has electric fans. It features power steering and power brakes. New horn, alternator, hood insulation, GM heater hoses etc. The metal surfaces are painted neatly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's really clean! Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted really nice. Inside is clean metal with a neat spatter finish. The decals, weather strip and trunk mat were replaced. It has a painted rally wheel and a new BFG tire for a spare, no jack.
UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. Upgraded with Global West tubular control arms and a new 14:1 quick ratio steering box. Koni gas shocks at all four corners. In back is a new Hotchkiss Sport Suspension which includes lowering springs, boxed upper and lower control arms and a sway bar. New fuel system including the tank and lines. New brake system which is upgraded to disc at all four wheels. New hoses, lines and e-brake cables. Great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and correct SS tips. Looking up at the motor it is clean and has a high torque starter. Just recently upgraded with a new Tremec TKX 5-speed! Custom shortened and balanced driveshaft. Currie Tru-Trac 4.10 posi rear end. The floors are really clean metal, no rust and it's all been prepped and painted.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and found nothing wrong just like he promised me.
There are a lot of great looking cars out there. I can tell you from experience that very few are dialed in as good as this one. All you need to do is add gas and go!
