It is always fun to drive something cool and different. This custom 1954 Pontiac Starchief Roadster checks both these boxes. Starting with a Starchief 4-door sedan, this Pontiac was modified into a cool custom two-door roadster. The customizing process included structural reinforcement to assure a smooth ride and solid-feeling drivability. Additional custom features include shaved door handles, a louvered hood, a custom taillight from a 1956 Chevy, and leather tiedown straps for the trunk lid.
A Kenwood CD stereo with Bluetooth is hidden in the glovebox to provide music for cruising. The original Pontiac optional illuminated hood ornament guides the way at night and is also a fun conversation piece. The silver paint is accented with black painted actual wire wheels wrapped with Goodyear F-70 Wide Oval white-lettered tires.
Under the hood, a smooth-running, rebuilt 268 cubic inch straight-eight engine mated to a rebuilt 4-speed Hydramatic transmission. The engine bay is very clean and has an aluminum radiator to keep things cool.
