There were some very iconic vehicles in American history. The El Camino has to be in the top ten with its revolutionary setup of a car with a pickup bed. This vehicle spans almost 30 years with the final year being 1987. Chevy could take a page out of the history books and reintroduce this model and they would sell out within days to the public.
Happy to bring to market this very cool setup in this 1985 Chevrolet El Camino with some very nice upgrades. Sold new out of Edwards Chevrolet in Birmingham Alabama. Vehicle was nicely optioned from the factory with a host of features and the original build sheet confirms these features. This vehicle remained in Alabama up until 2022 when it was sold to Florida and we recently acquired the vehicle from the 3rd owner.
Vehicle has been nicely modified with; 400ci V8, R700-4 spd Automatic transmission, Buick Grand National rear end, aluminum radiator with electric fan, Edelbrock air cleaner, FlowMaster mufflers with electronic cutouts (remote controlled), and American Racing aluminum wheels.
According to the previous owner the engine was rated at 500+HP but does not have a dyno sheet to verify, however this El Camino does have some significant power and sound to it.
This is a great car to enjoy any car event, cruise out to the beach or just take your friend on the ride of their life. Vehicle remains in overall very nice condition and the tilt wheel, cruise control, factory A/C give you some added features. AM/FM radio with 8 Track and even the factory clock works. Vehicle does come with the original build sheet and some basic receipts over the years on tires and maintenance.
