PATE SWAP MEET
April 24 to April 26, 2025 8am to 5pm
The Pate Swap Meet now located at the Texas Motor Speedway 3545 Lone Star Cir, Fort Worth, TX 76177, started out as the South Central Swap Meet in 1972 when several car clubs in Texas decided that it was too much to keep going all the way up to Pennsylvania to Hershey when we could have a swap meet here in Texas. Among the starting members were Dr. Aggie Pate, Russ Gruenwald, Barney Calvert and others from the Gulf Coast Region AACA, car club in Houston. The Pate name is a tribute to Dr. Aggie Pate, founder of the Pate Museum of Transportation near Cresson, original home of this annual rite of spring. Pate, president of the Texas Refinery Company that owned an employee recreation ranch southwest of Fort Worth, housed his private automobile collection in the museum. The inaugural swap meet was held in a rough semi-circle under trees across from the museum with about 350 vendors. The Pate Swap Meet Association now consists of the 14 largest vintage car clubs in Texas, with the event serving the car restoration hobby and the collection of antique, vintage, and notable automobiles and hot rods. Pate Swap Meet is the largest event of its type in the Southwest and second largest in the United States. Operations of the Pate Swap Meet have been located at Texas Motor Speedway since 1998.Vendor-wise, the event is organized by street and block and space, allowing visitors to readily locate folks eager to deal inventories of the following: New Old Stock NOS car parts, Genuine Old Rusty car parts, complete and typically grease-covered V8 engines, front clips, hoods, grilles, tires, wheels, tools, steering wheels, antique and reproduction signs and gas pumps, license plates, emblems, manuals, diecast collectibles, assorted clothing and homemade Americana yard art. Motorcycles of various makes, and their parts, occupy their own space in the Pate landscape.Just think that from a humble 350 vendors and 500 spaces to now 1200 vendors and 9700 spaces in just 51 years is quite an accomplishment. We have increased out vendor spaces every year we have had the swap meet. We started out with just 4 car clubs putting on the meet to now 14 clubs of volunteers to keep this running. We have only missed one year since starting and that was 2020 and we all know what caused that.
When: April 24 to April 26, 2025 8am to 5pm Location: 3545 Lone Star Cir Fort Worth, TX 75177 Cost: Free

SPRING 2025 CHRYSLER 300 INTERNATIONAL CLUB MEET
April 30 to May 4, 2025 9am - 9pm Information for the Spring 2025 Chrysler 300 International Club MeetThe Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc will hold its 54th Annual Spring Meet in Lafayette, Louisiana. When people think of Louisiana they think of the deep South with miles of bayous, a unique take on French culture and lots of good food. Lafayette is the center of Cajun Country and is commonly referred to as Acadiana. This is the area where the French who were exiled from L'Acadie now Nova Scotia, Canada by the British in 1755 found a home. The people local to the area, Cajuns, are the largest French-speaking minority in the USA, and while you may not hear them speaking French at the local gas station, if you visit Moncus Park on Saturday morning, I assure you, you will find some there sipping some coffee under the oaks As a special treat, 15 minutes down the road, the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival will be taking place May 1 through May 4. This is one of the largest and best known festivals Louisiana has to offer with amazing food, music and local artisan booths. The Lafayette Spring Meet will be held Wednesday April 30 through Sunday May 4. Average high temperatures during the meet are in the mid 80s and average low temperatures are in the mid 60s and humidity is in the comfortable range. The Club is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of Chrysler 300 Letter Series automobiles. The Beautiful Brutes, as they are often called, were built from 1955 - 1965. Also included is the 1970 300 Hurst. The Club was founded in 1970 and now has about 800 members throughout the world, and over its 50 years plus life, the Club has had nearly 4,000 members. The annual spring and fall meets often attract 100 or more members and 20 - 30 Chrysler 300 automobiles. In addition to the normal Chrysler 300 related meet activities, our meet hosts have planned visits to Avery Island to tour the iconic Tobasco production factory and the picturesque Jungle Gardens, to Rip Van Winkle Gardens and estate, and to tour a local private car collection. Our Club Car Show and Concours Judging event will be held Saturday from 10-2 in the S College Parking Lot next to Moncus Park. Our Club Banquet and Awards Ceremony is Saturday evening. Sunday afternoon the car show closes with an optional Swamp Tour being offered. If interested, please reach out to Kelly by April 9. You are welcome to register and join in the Club activities or just visit with members and enjoy viewing their 300s. For more information, please visit http://www.chrysler300club.com/ and look under the Events and / or 300 e News sections of the web site.
