Description:
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was modified under prior ownership with work that involved the installation of a 416ci LS3-based stroker V8 along with a 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission. The body was refinished in blue with a black vinyl roof cover under prior ownership and features SS badging and black stripes. Inside, the front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl, and a Vintage Air climate control system is installed along with a Custom Autosound stereo and Dakota Digital instrumentation. The car rides on tubular front and rear control arms, and Cragar S/S wheels are mounted over power-assisted Wilwood front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Additional equipment includes a FAST LSXR intake manifold, an aluminum radiator with dual fans, and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster headers, an H-pipe, and FlowFX mufflers.
Interior:
The front bucket seats and rear bench seats are upholstered in black vinyl, along with coordinated carpeting and door panels. Appointments include a center console, a horseshoe shifter, Vintage Air climate control, a Custom Autosound stereo, and kick-panel speakers. The seller notes the dash vents are loose, and fading is visible in the carpeting. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a set of Dakota Digital gauges. The digital odometer indicates approximately 1,500 miles have been added since the gauges were swapped.
Exterior:
Originally finished in LeMans Blue, the body was repainted in light blue under prior ownership. Details include a black vinyl roof cover, SS badging, black side stripes, a twin-domed hood, and chrome wheel-arch moldings. The Cragar S/S wheels are wrapped in 225/70 front and 275/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white letters, and tubular control arms have been installed front and rear. The car has power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted Wilwood drilled-and-slotted front discs along with rear drums.
Drivetrain:
The 416ci LS3-based stroker V8 was installed in 2023, and it features a FAST LSXR intake manifold, a 102mm throttle body, Excessive Racing Engines valve covers, and a Vintage Air Front Runner serpentine accessory drive system. The aluminum radiator is accompanied by dual electric cooling fans. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with a 3.55:1 differential. Flowmaster headers feed into a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe and FlowFX mufflers.
