Description: This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette was refurbished under previous ownership and is one of 1,194 Corvettes to have received the NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence Award. The car is powered by a fuel-injected 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in white over red vinyl. Features include a Positraction limited-slip differential, a white soft top, 15 steel wheels, a Wonderbar AM radio, and lap belts. The car received the NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence Award in 1993. NCRS chapter, regional, and national Top Flight awards and judging sheets from 1992 and 1993 are included in the sale.
Interior: The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in red vinyl as well as a dash-mounted rearview mirror, lap belts, a Wonderbar AM radio, and an analog clock. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level.
Exterior: The car was refurbished under previous ownership and is finished in white. Features include a white soft top, painted headlight bezels, quad headlights, and polished bumpers and trim. The 15 steel wheels feature simulated knock-off spinner covers and were mounted with BFGoodrich-branded whitewall tires.
Drivetrain: The 283ci V8 was factory equipped with Rochester mechanical fuel injection for a rating of 275 horsepower when new. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential.
