In 1903 170 were built, powered by a 1 cylinder, 5 horsepower, 41 cubic inch gasoline engine mounted in the rear. The cost new was $950 dollars. The weight is 800 pounds loaded with water and gas, and it has a listed cruising speed of 21 mph with a top speed of 28 mph. The pierce Motorette earned a reputation for endurance and reliability in early automotive competitions, in any weather. This Motorette rides on metal wire spoke 28 inch wheels, in black. The carriage style body is supported by four full elliptical springs. The car's finish is a gloss black, with red pinstriping and a red chassis.
