1976 Ford Bronco

Description:

This 1976 Ford Bronco is a Velocity Signature Series build that captures what makes early Broncos timeless while removing the compromises that once came with owning one. It keeps the original silhouette and attitude intact, but every major system has been purposefully upgraded and reengineered to deliver modern drivability, durability, and confidence. The result is a Bronco that feels refined without losing the personality that made the platform iconic in the first place.

Finished in Swatters Blue, the paint carries a deep metallic character that bridges classic Bronco color sensibility with a more modern finish. The metallic flake gives the truck depth under natural light without overpowering its clean lines, and it pairs naturally with the OE-style chrome accents used throughout. Chrome bumpers, headlight surrounds, grille lettering, mirrors, and hardware reinforce the Signature Series philosophy, preserving a factory-inspired appearance rather than pushing the build into over-customized territory. The stance is dialed in on 17" alloy wheels wrapped in 285/70R17 BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires, giving the Bronco a confident, balanced look that works just as well on pavement as it does off it. LED lighting is used throughout the truck, including retro-style headlights that maintain an old-school appearance while delivering modern visibility. Durability was clearly considered during the build, with the undercarriage, floors, and tailgate interior finished in protective Raptor lining.

Power comes from a brand-new Ford 5.0L Gen III "Coyote" V8 crate engine rated at 460hp, bringing modern performance, reliability, and serviceability to the Bronco platform. Paired with a 10R80 ten-speed automatic transmission, the drivetrain delivers smooth, responsive power. An Atlas transfer case handles four-wheel-drive duties, while Dana 44 front and Ford 9" rear axles with 3.50 gears and limited-slip differential provide strength and confidence across a wide range of conditions. Velocity's custom exhaust system gives the Coyote a controlled, refined tone that complements the truck without overpowering the experience. One of the defining upgrades on this build is the Velocity-exclusive frame engineered and built by Roadster Shop. Combined with Bilstein shocks, a 2.5" suspension lift, power steering, and hydroboost-assisted Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, the truck feels planted and predictable.

Inside, the cabin balances classic design with modern usability. The Hickory interior is trimmed in marine-grade vinyl, chosen specifically for its durability and suitability for open-air driving. The material looks and feels like leather while offering far greater resistance to moisture and temperature changes. Double diamond perforation adds breathability and a subtle modern touch that complements the exterior finish. Velocity custom high-back bucket seats make the space comfortable, while a lockable center console provides secure storage. The driver interface stays refreshingly analog. A classic wood-rim steering wheel, Ididit tilt steering column, and Dakota Digital gauges deliver a familiar layout with modern clarity. Traditional knobs, switches, and a keyed ignition keep the experience tactile, avoiding touchscreens or unnecessary distractions. Vintage Air climate control brings modern heating and cooling to the cabin, while a Bluetooth-capable audio system with Focal speakers and a subwoofer provides clear sound.

This Bronco is not a nostalgia piece built for occasional use. It is a fully reengineered classic designed to be driven, serviced, and enjoyed with confidence. Velocity has already addressed the engineering, reliability, and usability challenges that typically come with vintage trucks, and backs that work with a comprehensive two-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. The result is a 1976 Ford Bronco that preserves the essence of an icon, backed by modern engineering and built to be used without reservation.
