1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Pro Touring

Description:

INTRODUCTION: Classic looks and modern muscle: this 1967 Malibu delivers stunning style and serious performance! It underwent a total body off frame pro touring build with impressive results.

EXTERIOR: This Chevelle has the look dialed in perfectly. The stance, the attitude, - it is just right! The body is laser-straight with consistent panel gaps throughout. No rust, no damage- just clean, crisp sheet metal including a cowl hood. The burgundy metallic paint is absolutely gorgeous. When the light hits it from different angles, the metallic comes alive and really highlights the body contours. The finish is laid out evenly with a smooth, high-gloss clear coat that looks deep enough to swim in. The chrome and trim are straight and shiny, complementing the paint beautifully. A detail I really appreciate - it's still proudly badged as a Malibu instead of being converted into an SS clone. The vinyl top, windshield and weatherstrips are new. It's sitting on staggered Billet Specialties wheels-18s up front and 20s in the rear all wrapped in performance tires with extra wide rubber out back. It's a fantastic blend of factory heritage and modern muscle!

INTERIOR: The interior has been completely restored from carpet to headliner while retaining its original charm it is updated with some modern conveniences. Down on the floor is fresh carpet with embroidered mats. The door panels, rear seat upholstery, headliner, dash pad, and trim have all been replaced with quality reproduction components, It's been tastefully upgraded with reclining sport bucket seats and ahead of the driver is a set of Dakota Digital VHX gauges and a retro-style stereo system. Between the bucket seats sits a factory center console and a 6-speed shifter. The deluxe steering wheel is mounted to a tilt column. It's a beautifully executed interior - classic at first glance, but with the right upgrades exactly where you want them.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Power comes from an all aluminum 6.2L LS3 - a modern powerhouse that delivers reliability, efficiency, and serious performance. It's equipped with FAST fuel injection, a Big Mouth throttle body, EZ-LS ignition controller, and a custom cold air intake to ensure crisp throttle response. A set of Ultimate headers wrapped in heat shielding helps maximize performance while keeping temperatures under control. Up front, the engine features all modern accessories including air conditioning, power steering, serpentine belt system, and a high-output alternator. It runs cool thanks to a large aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and a polished overflow tank. A Wilwood master cylinder is mounted to a chrome plated power brake booster. Additional upgrades include: Remote breather/catchcan system, billet hood hinges, premium Aeromotive fuel regulator with braided fuel lines, new wiring and wiper motor. The firewall and inner fenders have been smoothed, all metal surfaces are finished slick and the custom coil pack covers are painted the body color. A custom engraved front filler panel completes the presentation. This engine bay is not only built for performance - it's built to impress every time the hood goes up.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the deck lid and the jamb is painted slick and glossy just like the exterior. Inside has been boxed and upholstered for a clean, finished presentation. Behind the removable panel you'll find the spare tire along with a relocated battery which has a master disconnect switch.

UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame so every inch could be restored, upgraded, and detailed properly. It now rides on a custom built chassis that's been significantly strengthened with a Hellwig reinforcement kit, including boxed side rails and additional supports for improved rigidity. The entire chassis has been powder coated and reassembled with urethane bushings. The suspension has been upgraded for both handling and stance. Up front, it features UMI tubular control arms, Afco adjustable coilover gas shocks, and a larger sway bar. Out back, it's equipped with UMI adjustable control arms, Afco gas shocks, and a sway bar to keep it planted and composed. The custom exhaust delivers a deep, aggressive tone through Flowmaster mufflers wrapped in heat shielding. Stopping power is equally impressive with a Wilwood brake system featuring 13-inch drilled and slotted discs at all four corners, 6-piston calipers up front, and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The fuel system is all new, including a 24-gallon tank with an in-tank Quick Fuel pump. Looking up at the aluminum motor there is a high-torque starter. Power is sent through a heavy-duty Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual trans with a Semco reverse lockout and hydraulic clutch setup. An aluminum driveshaft connects to a built 9-inch Moser rear end featuring a back brace, 35-spline axles, nodular center section, Trac-Lok posi, and 3.89 gears. The floors are pristine metal, finished in a clean semi-gloss coating. The underside reflects the same level of quality and attention to detail as the top!

SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car we sell.

CONCLUSION: This Malibu delivers on all levels! Looks, performance, nostalgia and modern reliability and comfort!
