1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute
VIN: 136371L107155
The build was just finished on this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute. Everything is either brand new or rebuilt. Let's dive in....
Body/Paint:
This car received a Body On restoration, which was completed in March 2026. The Chrome, Trim, and Rubber Seals are all new. The Tires and Wheels are also new. It received a stunning Viper Blue paint job, with a Black Stripe for the exterior. To include the door jambs. There were a couple door dings repaired but the rest of the body is straight as you can see in the pictures.
Interior:
New Leather seats adorn the interior of the Chevelle. New carpet was installed, new door panels, new Steering Wheel along with the new SS Dash. The heat works beautifully, all the lights and knobs work as they should and there is no A/C. The original Steering column is intact. The Trunk is all original, and rust free, to include the floormat. There is no spare tire or jack. A new AM/FM radio was installed for your listening pleasure and it does not have electric seats nor cruise control. The windshield wipers are present and in working order.
Chassis:
During the Body on restoration the frame was wire wheeled and painted with POR15. The bushings were replaced in the shocks and the springs are original. The brakes were converted to four wheel disc all around. The suspension has not been upgraded and the steering sector is original to the car, along with the A-arms. The upper and lower ball joints have been replaced at some point. New custom exhaust was installed on 3-11-26.
Drivetrain:
The vehicle is not an original numbers matching car. The engine has been enhanced with a 454 built to 520 hp. A new CAM was installed, the carburetor was rebuilt and the vehicle has a fuel filter in place. The engine rebuild was performed by Automotive Machine in Great Falls, Montana. An automatic, Turbo 400 transmission was installed to handle the 520 hp by Big Sky Transmissions in Billings, Montana. A new 9" posi-traction, 350 gear ratio rear end has been installed to handle the power.
Other:
The owner believes he's the third recipient of this fine motor vehicle and he's owned it for about six years. His daughter has fallen in love with it and doesn't want to see it go now, since the fantastic rebuild. He states that he would with confidence, drive this hot rod anywhere, but he thinks he'd pickup some speeding tickets along the way!
THIS VEHICLE TO BE COLLECTED FROM BILLINGS, MONTANA.
