1971 Chevrolet Nova 2 Door Sedan

Description:

1971 Chevrolet Nova 2 Door Sedan "You've changed. We've changed. And change makes news. But when a car is so good people don't want it changed, that's even bigger news. So, the big change in Nova is the fact that it hasn't changed much, a tribute to its style, comfort, quality, and, most of all, reliability. Of course, there have been a few refinements for 1971 which we plan to bring to your attention." From the 1971 sales brochure which goes on to highlight the interior, exterior, and engine possibilities. For consignment, a 1971 Chevrolet Nova 2 door sedan with a title verified 103,092 actual miles. This car was the subject of a ground up restoration and comes show ready, including a show board highlighting just a few of the features, in particular the 350ci engine and tribute to the souped up Rally edition. Exterior The Rally stripe points skyward like a rising bullet in white and bisects the two stage Almond Green paint further complemented by the black vinyl top which creates a visual sandwich with the tires. The stripe continues along the latch panel in perfect alignment with the simple, now classic tail lights, all at the end of a smooth decklid. The color is great on the car and really shows off the cowl hood and stiffening skirts with linear shadowing that plays nicely with the light and the 15-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels are the perfect shoes for this show car. The paint, vinyl, and metalwork is fantastic with imperfections noted as some general inclusions in the paint, a series of scratches on the hood, and some light bubbling on lower areas. Interior Simple vinyl door panels make the best of the black material with stitch patterns, vertical accenting, and some reflective hardware including window cranks and both doors present nicely. The split bench seat is done with smooth, perforated surfaces and black piping and along with the rear bench, show zero flaws. The aftermarket steering wheel is accompanied by a tach on the column and fronts a horizontal speedometer, AM radio in its designated spot, and an added triple gauge pack under the dash. Not far from that, and closer to the floor is a JVC AM/FM/CD unit and a Hurst shifter rising from the tunnel on black loop carpet that all looks good. Shoulder belts are in place on the headliner and the trunk is barren and clean. Drivetrain Freddie Mercury said the show must go on, and it does under the hood where you'll find a gleaming 350ci V8 with an Edelbrock 650cfm 4-barrel carburetor. Polished components provide a clean presentation and are helped out by the ceramic coated headers onboard. The powerplant is backed by a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission and power is routed to the 10 bolt in back with 3.08 gears. Power steering and power brakes are supplied. Undercarriage Super clean underneath where you'll find the dual exhaust running through FlowMaster mufflers and exiting discreetly tucked behind the rear fenders. Power disc brakes are on the front wheels and power drums on the rear while suspension includes coil spring up front and leaf springs in back. Drive-Ability This clean green machine does not disappoint. It looks great, sounds great, and there's obvious power underfoot but with 29 year old tires, we won't be peeling out anytime soon. The base AM radio does not work and the reverse lights are not illuminating but everything else on this very nice build operates as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. There were 7,700 true Rally Novas built in 1971, more than the number of SS models. But they seem to be super rare today. In fact, we see more Rally tributes like this one than actual Rally cars. This one is expertly done and will be a fantastic addition to your collection or simply to your garage. 113271W176276 1-Chevrolet 13-Nova Chevy II I6 27-2 Door Sedan 1-1971 W-Willow Run, MI Assy Plant 176276-Sequential Unit Number TRIM TAG ST 71 11427-1971 Nova 2 Door Sedan BDY WRN084234-Willow Run Body # TR 763-Light Sandalwood Standard Vinyl Bench PNT 43 11-Lime Green & Antique White 01A-1st Week January Classic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (that's more than 8 acres!).
