1966 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 110 Coupe. Very interesting little car with neat history. The Corvair was purchased new by a farmer southwest of Orion Alberta. In approximately 1985 it was purchased for 500$ by Paul Weeks. Paul spent a grand total of $1650 on restoration at the time. According to a small handwritten notebook documenting all the work, the car was repainted in a 1985 Toyota color called Torrid Red. The documented milage at that time was 73,730 miles. Since then, its only put on 13,000 miles in the last 41 years! The last 8 years the car has been stored in an airplane hangar. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, Paul has decided to sell the car and donate the proceeds to charity! Powered by a 110 hp flat 2.7-liter air cooled flat 6 and paired up with a 2-speed automatic transmission with unique slider/shifter on the dashboard! This would make a great beginner car for any young collector looking to get into the hobby, or just a very affordable little ice cream getter for anyone looking for some summertime fun. The car is very basic, but thats part of the charm. Therere wipers, a AM radio and a heater thats about it! Its got the tuxedo interior option with a combination of black and white. Everything inside is likely very original to the car. The exterior was repainted, and the original car is a metallic gun metal grey. The original hubcaps are in the frunk. Vintage shop manuals come with the car too! The body and paint arent perfect, but with a fresh polish it still looks pretty good. No real rust to speak of. The car shows 86,000 miles and thats believed to be original milage. It runs and drives fairly well but would benefit from a carb rebuild too. Neat little buggy with lots of life left to give!
