1964 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe 2-dr Hardtop. Stunning in glossy black with a red interior! The car has been repainted in its lifetime, but still sports a very original interior thats been incredibly well preserved. Maybe the odd piece here or there has been replaced, but its largely untouched. The interior is beautiful in red and sports a Moon Eyes tach, and aftermarket gauges below the dash, not forgetting a dancing Hula girl with grass skirt! The car has an am radio with second speaker between the rear seats. Headliner, door cards, carpets and upholstery are all in excellent condition. Great early 60s styling with the iconic 3 round taillights on each back corner. Stainless trim is all very nice and chrome is great. A newer set of torque thrust wheels bring a bit of muscle and attitude to the car. Under the hood is a tested and true 283 small block with a 2-barrel Rochester carb backed by a 2-speed Powerglide automatic. Not going to win any races, but a great boulevard cruiser and sounds very good with dual exhaust. No power steering, but it has power disc brakes on all four corners and a new brake booster/master cylinder. In the pictures, the engine bay is in need of some detailing which has been carefully done recently to preserve the original grease pencil writing on the firewall. Overall, very original under the hood. The badge on the back suggests the car was sold new at Carters Chevrolet in Winnipeg. The trunk is well finished and holds magazines, service manuals and some spare parts for the car. The original owners manual is in the glove box along with a sales brochure from 64 for the Chevrolet line up. Great looks, great color combo and super desirable! The car shows 83,000 miles and although its believed to be true milage, it cant be proven without a doubt because of the 5-digit odometer.
