We purchased this vehicle out of Newport Beach, CA from the second owner. He bought the car in 1998 and has been enjoying it ever since. He pampered the car, serviced it mainly at the Porsche dealer, and always stored it in his garage. Prior to his ownership, the car was stolen from the original owner. When it was recovered a few days later, it remained in the same shape, but an attempt had been made to scrape the VIN numbers. The CHP subsequently reissued the VIN tags. The vehicle has remained on a clean California title, and the Carfax also remained clean. The car is finished in a striking Black over Black color combination. The interior is in great condition, while the exterior presents very nicely with deep, glossy paint. The undercarriage is very clean with no known rust. This Carrera is powered by its original 3.2-liter flat-six, mated to the highly desirable G50 5-speed manual transmission. Mechanically, it runs and drives great. The ride is smooth and sporty, the motor sounds great and has plenty of power, and the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. We personally drove the vehicle approximately 5 hours back home, and it performed very nicely the entire way. The car also comes with an extensive collection of service records, including a significant service performed in November 2018 at Newport Auto Center/Porsche service at approximately 94,648 miles.
