2004 Ferrari 360 Spider F1
Welcome back to Wholesale Wednesday, where we lower our standards, so you don't have to lower your expectations.
This week's contestant is a 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider finished in classic red over beige leather, equipped with Daytona seats with black piping, Scuderia shields, a Challenge rear grille, F1 transmission and enough Ferrari accessories to make you briefly believe you're shopping at the other end of the market.
And honestly? This thing looks so GOOD. From 10 feet away...
Here's what we know:
36,267 miles. Enough to prove someone actually drove it...
For those of you that don't read titles: no, it is not gated. If it were gated, it would not be $76,500 and you would not be reading about it on Wholesale Wednesday.
Daytona seats with black piping. They look fantastic, which is inconvenient for this roast.
Challenge rear grille and Scuderia shields. Just enough Challenge car cosplay to make you forget it has an F1 gearbox...
Remarkably, the convertible top WORKS. We know this shouldn't qualify as breaking news, but anyone familiar with a 360 Spider understands why we're mentioning it.
Better yet, all seven hydraulic top rams were rebuilt. Seven. Apparently, Ferrari felt a convertible roof required the hydraulic complexity of a small excavator.
The top does have two small tears in the usual areas. Nothing catastrophic. But that's how we know it works.
The dashboard leather is pulling. It spent time sitting outside at a Houston service shop, and the Houston heat eventually turns everything into beef jerky.
The headlights have cataracts. They're faded and could use restoration. The good news is they can still see better than whoever approved some of Ferrari's early-2000s interior plastics.
The black dashboard has green stitching. Why? We don't know. Italy.
And now for the plot twist: It's actually current on its timing-belt service. Bet you didn't see that coming.
$39,677.02 IN DOCUMENTED RECENT MAJOR SERVICE. Yes. Nearly FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.
In 2023 at approximately 35,987 miles, H&S Motorsport replaced the clutch after it was measured at 77% worn, along with the throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, rear main seal and clutch block. The F1 actuator was set up, all seven convertible-top hydraulic rams were rebuilt, the top assembly was removed and reinstalled, the fuel-tank pressure sensor was replaced, the A/C was serviced, a battery was installed, and the engine oil, gearbox oil and F1 fluid were changed.
In 2024 at approximately 36,148 miles, it received a full timing-belt service, including belts, tensioners, rollers and holders, timing variator, exhaust cam variators, cam-cover gaskets and seals. The water pump was rebuilt, thermostat replaced, spark plugs changed, air and pollen filters replaced, coolant hoses addressed, accessory belts replaced, and the engine oil, gearbox oil, brake fluid, coolant and power-steering fluid were serviced. The A/C high-side hose was also replaced and the system evacuated and recharged.
The CARFAX independently records H&S servicing at 36,148 miles including timing belts/tensioners, camshaft seals, thermostat, spark plugs, serpentine belt, fluids and A/C work.
Then in 2025, because apparently the checkbook hadn't suffered enough, all four rollover valves were replaced, and a CEL diagnostic and smoke test were performed.
Total documented recent service: $39,677.02.
It has traveled only a few hundred miles during that period.
Now, about the elephant in the CARFAX. There is one accident reported way back on January 2, 2009. CARFAX states that the car hit a fixed object above the road, sustained front damage, had disabling damage reported and was towed. What was the mysterious fixed object above the road? We don't know. We weren't there. We're selling Ferraris, not reopening cold cases.
What we can tell you is that CARFAX shows no total loss reported, no structural-damage issue reported, no airbag deployment reported and no odometer rollback indicated. The title-history section also shows no salvage, junk, rebuilt, fire, flood, hail or lemon brands. It's clean and ready for its next owner to tinker with.

Here's the bottom line:
This is not the 360 Spider for the guy who brings a flashlight, paint meter, dental mirror and emotional-support concours judge to inspect a 22-year-old Ferrari.
There are nicer ones. There are cleaner ones, for six-digit prices of course.
This is the one for somebody who wants to spend $76,500, get into a genuinely great-looking Ferrari 360 Spider, put the top down, listen to a 3.6-liter Ferrari V8 scream behind their head, detail and service further and enjoy the darn thing or flip it and maybe make a few bucks...
Because underneath the cosmetic imperfections is a remarkably attractive 360 Spider with Daytona seats, Challenge grille, working convertible top, recent clutch, recent belt service and almost $40,000 worth of somebody else's money already spent on it.
We're not sure how much more Ferrari you can reasonably buy.
