The FIA 289 Cobra has a look all its own, blending the lean shape of the early Shelby Cobra with purposeful competition details. Built by Unique Motorcars, this Shelby Cobra replica captures that character in Light Blue Metallic with a yellow nose stripe, off-white number plates, white side pipes, and matching white wheels.
Beneath the hood is a stroked 351 Windsor measuring 427 cubic inches and producing 500 horsepower and 522 lb-ft of torque. The small block features an Eagle crank and rods, aluminum heads, and a hydraulic roller cam. A Top Loader 4-speed manual puts the driver in control, sending power to an independent Jaguar rear suspension with dual coilovers, 3.54:1 Posi gears, and inboard disc brakes.
Power four-wheel disc brakes with Wilwood front calipers provide matching stopping power. Fifteen-inch aluminum Shelby knock-off wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson S/T tires complete the vintage race-inspired stance. Inside, black vinyl bucket seats, Stewart-Warner black-and-white gauges, and a chrome single roll bar keep the cockpit focused on driving.
Unique Motorcars has been building Cobra replicas for nearly 50 years, and that experience shows throughout this '64 Shelby. If you're searching for a Shelby Cobra replica for sale, this FIA-inspired roadster offers classic competition styling with considerably more power under the hood. Grab the Top Loader, hear the Windsor through the white side pipes, and enjoy a Cobra built around the experience of driving it.
