1930 Ford Model A Phaeton

Description:

From 1927 through 1931, the Model A was Ford's production car, following the Model T, which had been built for 18 years. It was a huge success, with 2 million sold by July 1929 and nearly 5 million by the end of production. Most Model As were closed two door cars, trucks, and other variations, so this 4 door Phaeton is a rare find. The Phaeton is an open car, more like a carriage, and most surviving examples have been modified or street rodded, which makes an unaltered, restored one like this even harder to come by. Finished in classic black, this Phaeton has paint that is better than average, paired with matching black wire wheels that give it a clean, cohesive look. The open body style has a stately, carriage like presence that stands out at any show or parade. The car was nut and bolt restored a few years ago and has been very moderately used since, with excellent care and storage along the way. It gets all the looks wherever it goes. Power comes from the 200.5ci inline four, paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. The car starts easily, idles well, and runs through the gears with ease. It cruises comfortably at around 50 MPH, and the brakes are good with no pulling. It's a simple, honest drivetrain that makes driving a 1930 Ford a genuine pleasure. Inside, the black vinyl interior is well preserved and in remarkable condition. The top operates easily, and all lights and gauges work as they should. The cabin is open and airy, just as a Phaeton should be, and the overall presentation matches the quality of the restoration. This Phaeton would make a great country touring car or a perfect fit for local shows and parades. Cars like this are rare and gaining in value, and this one is offered at an aggressive price point, making it a significant opportunity to acquire a well cared for piece of automotive history.
