1999 Pontiac Trans Am 30 th Anniversary Special Edition Convertible. One very special car thats incredibly well preserved! Only 1600 30 th anniversary cars were produced in 99 and only 175 were built that were convertibles with a 6-speed manual, making this one quite rare. The car was imported from the USA in 2003 and has been in Canada ever since, racking up only 43,000 miles since new. Its obviously well taken care of and driven with respect, because you would swear its only 4300 miles with the excellent shape the car is in. Apart from tires, service work or required mechanical work, the car is all factory original. The paint is excellent and chip free, the special decals are all in great shape and special gloss blue alloy wheels have never bumped a curb. The cloth top shows no wear and the upholstery, interior plastics and carpets are all virtually like new. The car was stored indoors and out of the sun in a climate-controlled garage and it shows. The car is very well equipped, and everything is in working order! Under the hood is the 5.7-liter Ram-Air V8 with sequential fuel injection making 320 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque, backed by a 6-speed manual transmission. Power steering and power brakes are standard. Out back is a limited slip rear differential. The car came with 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The convertible top is powered, and the hard boot cover isnt cracked or broken and still has the storage bag for the trunk. Power windows, power locks with remote entry, power 6-way drivers seat, cruise control, tilt wheel and Air conditioning are all included options. The Monsoon series ETR AM/FM stereo with CD player and graphic equalizer and 8-high-performance speakers sound great! The car was optioned with the WS6 performance and handling pack, which brought in the ram air hood, 5-spoke 17 wheels, low restriction dual exhaust, specific sport tuned suspension and power steering cooler. The 30 th Anniversary package tinted the wheels blue, included specific exterior striping and badges, a medium blue convertible top, white leather seating with badge embroidery, specific door panels and floor mats. The car was also ordered with traction control and custom bucket seats with lumbar. This load of stuff, along with all the other factory standard options brought the price of the vehicle to 36,000$ US in 1999 " not a cheap car back then! Both original sets of keys come with the car, as does a binder full of cool info and historic documents! All the import documents and Saskatchewan inspection come with it, along with the AAMA vehicle specifications, an order catalogue and form for Pontiac merchandise from 99 and the US title and bill of sale from 2003. The most interesting is the special edition owners manual package which is finished in blue and white vinyl to match the car, and contains the manual, special 30 th anniversary pamphlet and the special pen and flashlight that came with it. A vehicle specific card with performance details also is still in place. Most often the info card, pen and flashlight are lost to time, but everything is still here with this one! The only modification from stock is the addition of a OEM Hurst shifter knob and shifter kit (factory equipment included with the car). Basically, the car is 99% flawless, very rare and comes with great documentation. You could enjoy the car or even put it up on a hoist and watch it go up in value as the years go on!
