When Ford replaced the Model T with the Model A in late 1927, it ended an 18 year production run and launched one of the most successful cars of its day, with nearly 5 million sold by the time production ended in 1931. This 1929 example was restored in 1970, has just 3,500 miles on its rebuilt engine, and is a dependable driver that is ready to be enjoyed.
Finished in Moleskin Brown with black fenders, this Model A has a classic two tone look that shows off the graceful lines of the era. A black vinyl top adds a polished contrast to the brown paint, and the rumble seat in back brings a dose of old fashioned fun that today's cars can't match. It is a very clean example, and the long restoration history shows in how well it presents.
Power comes from the 200.5ci inline four, paired with a 3 speed manual transmission. It is the simple, honest drivetrain that made the Model A so popular, and with only 3,500 miles on the rebuilt engine, it is ready for many more miles of enjoyable driving. The car is a dependable driver, perfect for parades, local shows, and relaxed Sunday outings.
Inside, brown leather seating gives the cabin a warm, rich look that matches the exterior color theme. The simple, period correct layout keeps the focus on the pleasure of driving a true piece of automotive history, and the interior carries the same very clean presentation as the rest of the car.
This Model A is a great chance to own a restored, dependable, and charming piece of Ford history, with a rumble seat that is sure to put a smile on every passenger's face.
