The Pontiac Firebird is an iconic American muscle car produced by Pontiac from 1967 to 2002. It was introduced as Pontiac's answer to the Ford Mustang, and it quickly gained popularity among performance enthusiasts.

Introduced in 1967, the first-generation Firebird shared its platform with the Chevrolet Camaro. It featured a stylish design with a long hood, short deck, and distinctive split front grille. The Firebird was available in various body styles, including a coupe and a convertible, offering a range of engine options to suit different performance preferences.

The Firebird gained fame as the car used in the TV series "Knight Rider," where it was modified into the iconic KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) car, further adding to its cultural significance.
